Your Questions, Answered
-
Price depends on distance, vehicle size, route, season, and whether you choose open or enclosed transport. Contact us with your pickup/delivery locations and vehicle details for an accurate, no-obligation quote.
-
No. The quote we give you is the price you pay, with no surprise charges at pickup or delivery.
-
Personal items are not covered by the carrier's insurance policy, and the carrier is not responsible for any items left inside. Vehicles are typically kept unlocked during transport to avoid triggering the alarm. If you do need to ship personal items, the standard limit is 100 lbs due to strict carrier weight limits and additional charges apply if that limit is exceeded.
The Process
-
Once you book, we match your vehicle with a vetted carrier, coordinate pickup and delivery windows, and keep you updated until your car arrives.
-
Transit time depends on distance and route, though typically 5–7 days for cross-country shipments. We'll give you an estimated window when you book.
-
Ideally, one week before your move date. Some shipments may require more lead time, especially for remote pickup locations or unconventional/modified vehicles.
Vehicle Condition & Type
-
Yes. Just let us know at quote time, since it affects carrier selection, timelines, and pricing. Inoperable vehicles require special equipment, like a winch or forklift, to load and unload, so we need to know the vehicle's operational status in advance to make sure the right equipment is available.
-
Let us know at quote time. Modifications can affect which carrier and trailer type we use, so accurate details up front mean an accurate quote.
-
Open transport is more affordable and works well for standard vehicles. Enclosed transport costs more but protects against weather and road debris, making it ideal for classic, luxury, or exotic cars.
Trust & Insurance
-
Yes. All carriers we work with carry cargo insurance, which we verify before your vehicle is picked up for your peace of mind and ours.
-
Yes. Car & Go Logistics is a licensed, bonded broker. Our DOT No. is 4276353 and MC No. is 1661623. You can verify our status anytime through FMCSA's SAFER system.
Pickup & Delivery
-
We aim for true door-to-door delivery whenever access allows. Car haulers are large — often around 80 feet long, with wide turning radii — so narrow streets, low power lines, or overhanging tree branches can sometimes make a direct approach unsafe. When that's the case, we'll arrange a nearby meeting point, such as a large parking lot, that's as close and convenient as possible.
-
Let us know at quote time. For business addresses, this helps us plan around loading dock access, business hours, and who will be available to receive the vehicle. In all cases, the carrier will deliver as close to the address as reasonably possible.
